Secret Platinum Protection and Degree
Has anyone ever tried Secret Platinum(for ladies...) or Degree deodorants? I guess they are my favorite kinds. I just go to the drug store and buy which ever one I see first. You have probably seen them being advertised on television I guess.
Secret Platinum Protection is heavily marketed towards teenaged girls. I see advertisements for it every time I read a teen magazone or a fashion magazine. It comes in all these different scents like "optimism" "ambition" and "genuine". I have to admit that they smell pretty good...but how can a scent be "optimistic" or have "ambition". I think that is kind of funny. I think it also comes in "fresh spring breeze" or an unscented formula. I tried the unscented version one time and found that it did have a bit of a smell to it, not a very pleasent one at that. It smelled pretty bad when you sniffed at the stick of it, but once you had it on for a bit you couldn't really smell it. It is also pH balanced, which is always good. You know the secret slogan..."Strong enough for a man, but made for you", why would a man really want to be smelling like "spring time flowers" and what not. I think that is kinda funny too.
Anyways, Degree deodorant is pretty good as well. I always use it after gym class. It smells pretty good. You can also buy those nifty little travel ones that fit nicely in your gym bag and stuff. Thats always good.
For anyone that has made it this far into my article, heres a few questions to ponder:
1. Does spray-on deodorant work better than roll on or a stick? 2. Why do we care about the smell of deodorant when what we really should be worrying about is the smell it is preventing us from smelling? 3. What is the difference between anti-perspirant and deodorant? 4. Have you ever tried dove deodorants?
Wow, I can't believe I wrote a whole article on deodorant. Thanks for reading this.
