*~!Shaving 101*~!
If you decide to shave, here are some tips!
*BEFORE*
~Exfoliate - remove dead skin to help it glide easier and prevent nicks and irritation ~Soak area for at least 5 minutes with mildly hot water - it opens the pores to make it easier to shave ~Use a shaving cream or moisturizing gel
*DURING* ~Change your blade every 5 - 7 days to make sure its not dull ~Check for rusted marks & damage to the aloe strip ~While shaving, rinse shaver with warm water to unclog the shaver - helps it glide better and prevents nicks and irritations ~Shave in the direction the hair is growing (usually shaving upward)
*AFTER* ~Rinse your shaver ~Apply a body moisturizer or aloe vera gel to trap in moisture to and keep it smooth
*NEVER EVER* ~Dry Shave - Cause irritation and inflammation ~Use someone else's razor ~Apply too much pressure - can nick yourself or even cut yourself ~Girls don't shave anywhere on your face - It comes back thicker and more noticeable!!!!!
*What I do* ~ I use Gillette's Mach 3 (yes I know it's for guys) because guys tend to have thicker and coarse hair, therefore it's easier to get the thick hair. Venus is similar (I still like Mach 3 better) ~I don't use shaving cream or gel. I use hair conditioner because it not only moisturizes your hair but it does the same for you skin ~I shave at the end of my shower or bath because water can seep into your pores and cause bumps and ingrown hairs and I know that my body has been in water for at least 5 minutes.
