Shaving or Waxing
I've been shaving for about five years, and I hate it.  Those reusable razors are so expensive, so I always get the disposable ones, but my legs never get very smooth.  I was thinking about waxing with Nads or something.  I saw an infomercial on TV for Nads, but I don't really know if I should trust those because they often lie.  Has anyone tried Nads or that lotion that is supposed to make hair finer and come back less often until it finally disappears?  I just want smoother legs, and I don't want to shave as often because I've always had really black thick hair.  What do you suggest?

I have tried Nad, shaving and cream hair remover. The thing I like the best is an epilator. An epilator is like an electric razor except there are no blades. There are little tweezers on a roller and when you run it across your leg it pulls the hair out by the root. You get the same results as waxing, but without the mess and in the long run it is much cheaper. I have been using it for about a year. The first time you use it it will hurt just like waxing. When you use it a couple of time the pain gets less and less and now I do not even feel the hairs being pulled out. I have a Braun "silk-epil" and a Conair twin roller. I got the Braun from Bed and Bath. I think it was about $59.00 but I had a 20% coupon that they always have. I paid a little less for the Conair. I got that from Drugstore.com. The good things about the epilator are it lasts a long time like an electric razor, your legs will stay smooth longer and when the hair does come back it is much finer and softer, you will not get the hard stubble like you do when you shave, the longer you use it the longer it takes for your hair to come back. I can go a couple of weeks before I feel I want to do my legs. I usually do them once a week. Don't forget that hair grows in cycles. The hair you pull out today is not the hair you see the next day. You will see a big difference in regrowth after a couple of weeks. The first couple of weeks run the epilator oover your legs each day to get the complete cylce.

I wrote before about how I shaved my BF legs after a bet. We both liked the look and feel of his smooth legs so much we decided to keep them smooth. The problem was he would get hard stubble the next day and that was no fun. I tried the epilator on his legs and he was screaming like a baby but now I use it on his legs all the time.

Good luck !!!

Well, I actually am in the same perdicament as you. I heard of Nads, but it costs like 30 dollars or something like that, I'm not sure if I'm ready to "experiment" with my money, to find out if somthing actually works. You do whatever you comfortable with. I might go and try it sometime. I'm like you, I just want it gone! I've seen stuff at Walgreens and CVS, those waxing products, I haven't tried it yet. How badly could it hurt, I've had some seriously bad razor burn... ouch that hurts! That's why I came here to see what everyone was chattin about. Well good luck, its nice to know that people can speak there mind, and not get embarrassed about it. ~Anna-14, CT

Hey! I let my hair grow out for 3 weeks (which i hated) so i could use nads, bc it said ur hair har to longer but it still didnt work at all! i was sooo mad! i used that jergens shave less lotion for 8 weeks straight and i think it worked..but my hair was already blonde and not really thick so its a little hard to tell but if u wanna put up w/ using it every night for 8 weeks it think it works!!

maybe you should try waxing like at a salon or something.
