Cologne for a Laid-Back Guy?

This question goes out to both girls and guys! Opinions are greatly welcomed!

My boyfriend is a completely laid-back guy. He’s not into fashion and whatnot, which I love about him because I know that means he isn’t all about the superficial things. He does not wear cologne, but I am kind of wanting to get him something. I think it would be a nice gift and something we would both enjoy, that is if I can find the right scent for him.

That is where I need your help. I don’t want to get him anything over-the-top. He’s not preppy or anything, just a casual guy, so I am thinking something light and fresh. Guys, what do you use and why do you like it? Girls, what do your boyfriends use and what makes you love it?
