Tips on How To Do Your Make-up
You don't need expensive products to look good. If you get blotches and pimples, use a light liquid foundation like CoverGirl Trueblend. It will match your skin color exactly, and you don't really need to use a powder over because it will dry like one.
ONLY use blush if your cheek bones don't show that well, and choose a shade a few shade darker than your coverup. Use a wide brush about 1-1.5". Swipe the blush. Blow on the tip of the brush to avoid the blush going on thick. Then start about an inch from the end of your mouth and brush up. You don't want to be able to see the blush but want the effect of making your face thinner and cheek bones show more.
For eyes you can do many things. My favorite is taking black eyeliner and dot between your eyelashes on the bottom. It will make your lashes appear thicker without it being obvious you're wearing make-up. Then choose your color for eyeshadow. For blue eyes I would go with purple or grey; brown eyes use neutral colors. Get eyeshadow that comes as a three set. Using a brush 1/4" thich works better than an applicator. First put on the middle shade on your eyelid. The lightest shade will go above the crease in your lid up to your eyebrow (lightly). Then take that darkest color and go over the crease. Some eyeshadows will have directions how to do this. Last would be mascara. It's important to not use a really thick mascara or brush. CoverGirl Volue Exact is a great mascara. Hold the mascara brush still and blink. Brushing your eyelashes can cause the mascara to go on too thick. Then only do the tips of your bottom lashes if you feel the need, not much though.
Last would be the lips. Avoid using lipliner. Instead find a lip gloss that fits your skin and hair. For blonde hair a pink or red (only if you can get away with it) would work. Brown/black hair use neutral colors or blown. Red hair use clear or light pink, and there you go. You did your make up. Trust me, it should take you less time then it did to read this.
