ok i have always gotten my nails done since i was 13 and the best way to get them off is wait @LEAST 3 weeks befrore you pry them off because honestly it does HURT thats my best advice. also dont soak them in nail polish remover because they use acetone(same as nail polish remover) to put on the acrylic powder nail polish remover doesnt work. hope it heelps>TARYN

I always end up filing mine down short, that way they're still sorta long and nobody can see your natural nail, cause mine always have those dents. In fact I got acrylics in december, and now I still have dents.

soak them in pure acetone.
thats what they use to dissolve the acrylic powder when they do your nails... so when you soak them in the acetone the acrylic starts wasting away. whenever i have to take my nails off i go to the nail salon- they cut the nail down, then soak it in acetone and every once it a while buff the acrylic off until it all comes off.
takes about 30 minutes ideally but its the best way & no matter how you take off the nail you will still get the dents- thats because before they apply the acrylic they file down your nails with that machine and then when the acrylic is applied they file around your cuticle area which in turn makes the dent... the more refills you get = more dents. takes about 3 months to grow out the dents.

most fake nails leave your natural nails damaged no matter how you take them off but i suggest you go back to the nail salon and they will take them off for you.

i pry them off too. but my mom said u can always go back to the salon u got em done at and they will take it off for u ( probably for a price ) but this way u dont risk breaking or really damaging ur real nail underneath.

Prying them off usually works for me too, but not if theyve been on for too long

It might be a good idea to soak them in alcohol. My grandma does it when she has fake nails on.
