There are a lot of posts on here saying that girls shouldn't wear make up, that it's stupid or slutty or you have low self esteem if you wear it, but that's not true. Yes, there sluts who wear make up, but there also a lot who don't wear any. In the movies most of the hookers and sluts have a lot of make up on and look pretty, but in real life most of them are discusting drug addicts who can't even afford make up. Yes, there are also girls who have low self esteem and wear make up, but it's not their fault that they feel that way. Sometimes make up is the only thing that makes them feel beautiful and keeps them from killing themselves. But most of the girls who wear make up just do it cuz it's . That's why I wear it. If you don't wanna wear it, that's your choice. No one's putting a gun to your head and making you so you don't have to be all rude and bitchy about it to those of us who choose to wear make up.

A lot of places that I go, you will look under dressed if you don't have some makeup on. There's a thin line between right and wrong, in my opinion, when it comes to makeup. It can be great, but if you ave on too much, that's a totally different story.

Yeah, but everyone has a different opinion on how much is too much. One time I wore a dark brown lipstick with no make up on the rest of my face, just a little clear mascara and some powder and some girl said "why are you wearing so much make up?" I don't think I was since it was just lipstick. Some people think if you wear dark make up, it's too much, but I don't. As long as you only keep one area dark and the rest of your face light, like if you wear dark lipstick have light eyes, dark eyeshadow have light lipstick, and so on. Unless you're gothic, then you can wear really dark stuff. As long as you're happy with the way your make up looks, it doesn't matter what other people think. They're just jealous.

I don't understand why girls care so much about how other girls' make up looks. Just do your make up however you want or don't wear any if you don't want to. If you don't like the way some girl's make up looks, then just don't look at her. Stop spending so much time talking sh*t about each other and go get a f*cking life.

I agree. I like to wear make up. Sometimes I see girls with ugly make up, but I don't say anything to them because it's their face. They can put whatever they want on it.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with wearing make up and its better to experiment young so that you know what suits you when you are older. Just make sure you use hypo allergenic products and remove it properly so as not to sensitise or block up your skin.

Honestly, most of the time the girls who call other girl sluts because they wear make up, dont really get many guys at all. Like some of my "friends" call me a slut to other people because i wear eyeliner&a light goldish eye shadow -.- and i always have guys talking to me, but they never do..
im not saying this is a mean way about my friends either. .

everybody has a different opinion on the reasons for wearing makeup. i believe it should be used to enhance natural beuaty, and some people think you shoul also be able to express yourself when you wear it. dont let other people tell you why you should our shouldnt wear makeup. believe what you want to believe.

to be honest..there is people who look fab withouth makeup..then theres some people that just need a little ...some people look better with makeup on then off...and same other way round. anyway look at some celebs like britney spears...she looks rele preety with makeup..airbrushed etc...but if you see her with none of its like woah...but some people do wear a little to much. like too much foundation looks like they have been tango'd or somthin . it alright for you natural beauties out there but some people need a bit of makeup...no effence...i do...well a bit of foundation anyways lool...a little makekup wont hurt .

Makeup was originally intended to ENHANCE your features, not paint your face to look like a doll. But I do know some people that overdo their makeup ( they're young as well..) but I really don't have a problem, it's their choice. I like to keep it natural and maybe apply a bit of spakly white eyeliner to the top lid to add some... pizzaz.. but there are other people who wear blue eyeliner, red eyeshadow, purple mascara, and frosty purple lipstick to a FORMAL business occasion. I thought it looked a tad silly
